This song is an Indigenous translation of the popular children’s song and activity – Heads, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes! Translated into the Alngith language from Western Cape York, this song is best used as part of a broader learning package to teach children about the culture and history of Western Cape York and the variations between different Indigenous groups.

This song has been one of our most popular with children in the early childhood education age group and is sung in the Alngith-Liningithi dialect of Western Cape York. Alngith is considered to be an extinct language and this activity has been translated by the late Jean George (Awumpun) and the last remaining Alngith speaker, Fiona Wirrer-George (Oochunyung).

The activity pack includes two high quality files (pdf and jpeg) for easy printing.

Please check store for a Yuggera translation of this song/activity.
